About

IELTS prep should not cost more than the exam

IELTSLab exists because quality IELTS feedback in Bangladesh was either expensive coaching or guesswork. We built the third option: real exam practice with instant, criteria-based AI scoring, priced in Taka.

What is IELTSLab?

IELTSLab is an AI-powered IELTS preparation platform covering all four skills. You practice in the real computer-delivered exam format (the same timing, question types and on-screen tools), and the platform scores you instantly: Listening and Reading against answer keys with the official band conversion, Writing and Speaking with an AI examiner that applies the same four criteria human examiners use and shows a band for each.

  • A growing library of full Listening tests across British, American, Australian, Indian and mixed accents, plus targeted drills
  • Academic and General Training Reading tests covering every question type, with an explanation for every answer
  • Writing Task 1 & 2 scored across Task Achievement/Response, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range & Accuracy
  • A full AI Speaking examiner for Parts 1, 2 and 3 with fluency, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary feedback
  • Full mock tests combining everything, with band-by-band results in seconds

Why did we build it?

Because the economics of IELTS prep in Bangladesh are upside down. The exam itself costs around ৳24,950 and coaching runs to tens of thousands more, yet the one thing candidates need most is the hardest to get: honest, specific feedback on their own work. A teacher with forty students cannot score forty essays a day against four criteria each. Software can, in seconds, every day, for less than 3% of one exam fee per month, and the free plan means every candidate can start with nothing but a browser.

How does the AI scoring work?

We hold the scoring to the public standard: the official IELTS band descriptors. Writing is evaluated criterion by criterion with the reasoning shown, so you can see exactly how each band was reached. Speaking is transcribed and assessed for the things examiners listen for: fluency, pronunciation, grammatical range and lexical choice. Each score is a practice estimate designed to direct your work, not an official result.

Who is behind IELTSLab?

IELTSLab is built by a small independent team based in the United States, made for the Bangladeshi market. That is why pricing is in Taka, payments run through bKash, Nagad and Rocket rather than credit cards, and the practice library is calibrated to what Bangladeshi candidates face. We align every scoring claim with the official band descriptors published by the IELTS partnership (British Council, IDP, Cambridge), and our guides cite official sources.
