Refund Policy
Refund eligibility, request process, and timelines for IELTSLab subscriptions paid via card, mobile financial services, or app store billing.

1. Scope
We want refunds to be straightforward when they are warranted, and predictable when they are not. This policy explains when we will refund a paid IELTSLab subscription, when we will not, and how to ask. Read it alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility Window
We offer a 7-day refund window for first-time subscribers, beginning on the date your subscription is activated. To qualify, all of the following must be true at the time of your request:
- The request is made within 7 calendar days of the original activation date.
- This is your first paid subscription to IELTSLab. Renewals, re-subscriptions, and second-time-or-later purchases are not covered by the 7-day window.
- You have not consumed an unreasonable amount of premium assessments. As an objective threshold, accounts that have used more than ten (10) AI Writing scorings, ten (10) AI Speaking assessments, or two (2) full Mock Tests are considered to have received substantial value and are not eligible for a full refund.
- The subscription was paid through a payment method that we are able to refund (see Section 5).
3. Non-Refundable Cases
For clarity, the following are not eligible for a refund, except where a non-waivable consumer-protection right under applicable law requires otherwise:
- Requests made more than 7 days after the original activation date.
- Subscription renewals, additional billing cycles, and re-subscriptions following a previous paid period.
- Requests where the account shows substantial use of premium features (see Section 2).
- Requests arising from a violation of our Terms of Service, including the acceptable-use rules and account-sharing restrictions.
- Charges that were correctly applied for the period during which you used the Service before cancelling.
- Free-trial periods (where offered), which by their nature carry no charge to refund.
4. How to Request a Refund
Email admin@ieltslab.app from the address on your IELTSLab account, subject line “Refund Request”. Tell us:
- The name on the account.
- The transaction ID (TrxID) or payment reference, and the date of payment.
- How you paid (bKash, Nagad, Rocket, card, or app store).
- Why you're asking for a refund.
We reply within two working days. If we need to verify the transaction, we will ask for a screenshot of the payment SMS or confirmation page.
5. Refund Method & Timing
Approved refunds are returned to the same payment instrument that was used for the original transaction:
- bKash, Nagad, and Rocket: refunded by manual reverse-transfer to the mobile financial services account that originated the payment, within seven (7) working days of approval. Standard MFS reversal fees, if applicable, will be deducted by the operator.
- Card and bank payments: refunded through our payment service provider to the original card or account, within seven (7) to fourteen (14) working days of approval, depending on your issuing bank.
- App Store and Google Play purchases: we do not control these transactions. Refund requests for in-app billing must be submitted directly to Apple or Google through their refund portals; their respective policies apply. We are happy to assist with documentation if needed.
We do not issue refunds in the form of cash, account credit, or third-party payment instruments.
6. Cancellation vs. Refund
Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but does not, on its own, trigger a refund of an existing paid period. Where a refund is approved, your subscription will end immediately and access to paid features will be removed.
7. Service Issues & Goodwill Refunds
Where a refund request falls outside the 7-day window but is based on a documented service issue — for example, an extended outage, a billing error on our side, or a technical fault preventing reasonable use of the paid features — we will review the request on a case-by-case basis and may, at our discretion, offer a full refund, a partial refund, or an extension of your subscription period.
8. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us at admin@ieltslab.app before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved more quickly through our support channel than through a formal chargeback. Where a chargeback is filed without first contacting us, we may suspend the associated account pending resolution.
9. Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under non-waivable consumer-protection laws in your country of residence, including, where applicable, the Bangladesh Consumer Rights Protection Act, the EU/UK Consumer Rights Directive, or equivalent legislation.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our payment partners, business practices, or legal requirements. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email and will only apply to purchases made after the effective date of the revised policy.
